Angus House – Supporting and Promoting Cooperation through the Development of a Short Supply Chain in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region

Objective:

General:

  • The general objective of the project is to promote and market beef from the Sibiu region through a developed short supply chain over a period of 21 months.

Specific:

  • The project aims to increase the production capacity of the beef processing unit by at least 100% through equipping with specific technological equipment, and to consolidate the competitive position of the processor within 21 months.
  • Additionally, the project aims to raise consumer awareness about the importance of consuming products marketed through a short supply chain via online and offline promotional campaigns

Partners:

The project involves a cooperation partnership between 5 members with various involvements in the agri-food sector (1 farmer, 1 processor and trader, 1 NGO, 1 higher education institution in the agri-food field, 1 research institute):

  1. Angus House SRL;
  2. Ghijasa Farm SRL;
  3. Faculty of Engineering and Management of Animal Production at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest;
  4. National Research and Development Institute for Biology and Animal Nutrition (INCDBNA-IBNA Balotești);
  5. Agro-Food-Ind Napoca Cluster Association.

Activities:

  • Promoting the short supply chain;
  • Disseminating project results among members;
  • Organizing two thematic events to promote the partnership, the short supply chain, and the project results;
  • Conducting project management.
